Senior Line Leader

(Progression to Assistant Manager)

Pay Rate: £14.86 per hour

Shift: Saturday to Wednesday

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Line Leader to join a busy production environment working Saturday to Wednesday. This position is offered on a Temp to Perm basis, with successful candidates having the opportunity to transition permanently after 12 weeks.

This role provides a genuine long-term development pathway, with the successful candidate progressing into an Assistant Packhouse Manager position.

About the Role

As a Senior Line Leader, you will oversee the efficient running of production lines, support team members, and ensure all operational standards are met. The role combines hands-on leadership with basic administrative duties and system use.

Over time, this role will become more system-focused as you support the Packhouse Manager and gain the skills and experience required for future progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support production teams across assigned lines.

• Ensure daily production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Perform basic administrative tasks and input data into production systems.

• Work closely with the Packhouse Manager to support planning and daily operations.

• Monitor line performance and take action to resolve issues efficiently.

• Uphold Health & Safety standards and promote safe working practices.

• Assist with training and development of production staff.

• Gradually take on more system-based and supervisory responsibilities as the role grows.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment is essential.

• Supervisory, Line Leader, or Team Leader experience is desirable.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn system-based tasks.

• A proactive, positive attitude and strong reliability.

• Knowledge of Prophet software is beneficial but not essential.

• Ambition to progress into management positions.
