We are looking to recruit a skilled Machine Operator for our well established client in the local area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various fabrication processes. This role involves operating machinery, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery

• Set up and adjust machines according to specifications

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment

• Utilise programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation

• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards

• Handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the production process

• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and productivity

• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in machine operation or a similar role

• Familiarity with manufacturing techniques

• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations

• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

The hours of work will be based on a day shift 8am to 7pm Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Sunday.
